DESCRIPTION
Legends “Freedom’s Last Barrier” Mixed Media sculpture of an agile, spirited eight-point buck breaking through a rail wood fence over a mound of snow as it flees to avoid becoming a coveted hunting trophy. The subtle shades and intricate details of the buck’s features, coat, huffs and antlers and the lustrous sheen of the simulated snow on the fence and on the ground suggest the pliability, warm hues and cool tones of the mixed media used. The sculpture’s open silhouette and suggestion of movement encourages the viewer to view the piece from all sides. Limited Edition #280/2500 worldwide. Proudly made in the U.S.A. Artist Profile
Danny Edwards (STARLITE ORIGINALS STUDIO™)
has been a fine art sculptor for 22 years, creating work for collectors worldwide. His sculptures can be found in the halls of presidents and dignitaries, including the late U.S. President Ronald Reagan as well as corporations, banks, universities and private collections. His ‘Elk’ and ‘Bear’ monuments are famous Jackson Hole, Wyoming landmarks.
Danny concentrates heavily on wildlife themes and extensively researches each subject he sculpts. "Every animal has a certain spirit about it, and a certain way he carries himself, a particular gait in his walk. Each animal leaves a distinct footprint, and my job is to bring out some of that emotion for the viewer." He also enjoys sculpting authentic Native American subjects that he depicts in fluid motion scenes that capture the danger, emotion and excitement they experienced. He is equally devoted to themes of historic significance.
Edwards sees his art as a language that uses visual forms to communicate the natural themes within his soul. With such involvement with his "love" it’s no surprise that he is recognized as one of the most provocative and sensitive western and wildlife sculptors working today.
